Fulton Center Transit Hub – New York, NY
The recently opened Fulton Center Transit Hub in Lower Manhattan features improved connections to six existing subway stations and is a hub for 9 subway lines, access to the NJ Path Train and the World Trade Center Buildings. With an operating capacity of over 300,000 daily riders, it is one of the largest transit centers in NYC and currently the largest in lower Manhattan.
The transit hub features more than 65,000 square feet of retail space and commercial space will offer a range of selections from restaurants and stores,
The project was completed in November 2014 to critical acclaim. The massive atrium, in the center of the building soars 110 overhead with the opening at the top measuring 53 feet in diameter. This allows natural light to extend up to two stories below ground.
