PS 290Q is a new school building that  will serve approximately 600 students from K through 5th grades.

In the final stages of construction, the school is a 5 Story Building and approximately 99,000 Square Feet.  The main entrance is located at the rough midpoint of the property on Metropolitan Avenue and is accessed through a paved plaza adjacent to the general playground. The school includes dedicated science classrooms, a library, an auditorium and a flexible all purpose room.

The School is to be named after the late Congresswoman Geraldine Ferraro.
